The Ellis County Equine Youth Association is a very active horse club where youth can gather together for some great fun and educational youth activities. ECEYA attends several clinics, trail rides, field trips, and social events throughout the year. A high light of their year, is organizing and promoting their own Youth Schooling Show where they raise money for their year end field trip, participation trophies and sportsmanship buckle.
Each youth who participates in at least four ECEA activities during a calendar year, will receive a participation award at the club's year-end award banquet. Also awarded at the banquet, is the Nancy Jessup Sportsmanship Award belt buckle, for which only the youth vote for whom best epitomizes a good sport during the year's competitions. Some come join in and have some good "horsey" fun!
