PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hello Horse Buddies,

That chill is in the air (sometimes) and the 2-year-olds are finally big enough to climb aboard! What better time of the year for a horse person is there? I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful fall with their horses and horse friends. We have many things going on with ECEA this fall and many deadlines fast approaching. Please read the details below in the newsletter! I’ll see everybody at the banquet!

 Keep your heels down,

 Julie

Officer nominations

We are now seeking volunteers and nominations for ECEA officers for 2011. If you are interested – and we are desperate – to run for president, vice president, secretary, treasurer or the board of directors, please submit a letter of intentions to secretary Glenn Alexander at galexander123@yahoo.com or bring it to the banquet on October 2. Officers ballots will be mailed by the end of October and officers announced at the December planning meeting.

Banquet Slideshow

Mary Roberts has volunteered to create a slide show for the awards banquet. If you have any photos of your crew from any ECEA activities this year, you may email them to her at maroberts@duncanvilleisd.org    if they are small or only one or two (otherwise they will go into her school’s junk mail). If you have many, put them on a disk and get them to Julie Hinz or the ECEA meeting this month.

Horse Show Photos

John Avent has taken many wonderful photographs throughout the shows and has offered to share them with everybody for free over the internet. The links are posted on the ECEA facebook page. Look for his wall posts.  These links will also be posted on the web site soon.

Also, the professional photographer at the June horse show has photos for sale. Please check them out at www.perfectphotomemories.com  Click on Events and 2010 if you are interested.

ECEYA

The youth club is taking their year-end field trip to Lake Lavon November 12-14 for a camping trip and trail ride. Log onto www.trinitytrailriders.org for more information. The youth would like to give a special thank you to all of the participants, volunteers and sponsors who helped make the Youth Fundraiser Show held in August another great success.
